Water Research Institute (WRI) is
one of the 13 component Institutes of the
Council
for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
With a mandate to research into water and
related resources, WRI generates and provides
scientific information, strategies and services
towards the |

|
|
rational development, utilization and management
of the water resources of Ghana, in support
of socio-economic advancement especially
in the Agriculture, Health, industry, Energy,
Transportation, Education, Environment and
Tourism sectors. The Institute performs
its mandate through 8 divisions,presented
below with their objectives and some activities.

and an Internal Management Committee manage
the institute. The institute has a high calibre
staff of 242, with 64 Research Scientists,
and 63 technical Staff making up the backbone. |
