International Relations

WRI is the national focal point for international water resources programmes of UNESCO, WMO, WHO, UNEP and IOC. It therefore hosts the Secretariat of the respective National Committees for International Hydrology and Water Resources Programmes and the International Oceanographic Commission.

The Institute also serves as follows:

African Centre for Fish base (database for African and world fishes)

FAO/IOC/IAES/UNEP-support Centre for monitoring Marine and Coastal Pollution.
